Where laws such as the European Union General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") or United Kingdom GDPR require us to identify a legal basis for processing personal information, our legal bases may include:
Performance of a contract. We process information when necessary to provide the Services you purchase or request, administer your account, process subscriptions, authenticate licenses, and provide customer support.
Legitimate interests. We may process information where necessary for legitimate business interests such as securing our systems, preventing fraud, improving our Services, understanding product performance, managing customer relationships, and operating our business, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

Legal obligations. We may process information when necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, or other obligations.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Frontage Website uses cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies are small data files that may be stored on your browser or device when you interact with a website. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, tracking pixels, software development tools, and other technologies capable of storing or accessing information on a device.
We may use the following categories of technologies.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These technologies are necessary for core Website functionality and may be used to:
- maintain authenticated sessions;
- administer user accounts;
- process purchases;
- maintain shopping cart or checkout functionality;
- prevent fraud;
- provide security;
- remember privacy choices; and
- provide functionality specifically requested by you.
Because these technologies are necessary to provide the Website or Services, they may not always be subject to optional cookie controls.
Functional Cookies
Functional technologies may remember preferences or settings and provide enhanced Website functionality.
Analytics and Performance Technologies
We use or may use analytics, Website measurement, SEO, performance, and user-experience technologies provided by third parties, including:
- Google Analytics;
- Meta;
- SearchAtlas; and
- Microsoft Clarity.
These technologies may help us understand matters such as:
- visitor counts;

- referring websites;
- page usage;
- navigation patterns;
- Website interactions;
- clicks;
- scrolling;
- conversions;
- Website performance;

Microsoft Clarity and similar user-experience technologies may also allow us to analyze Website interaction information such as clicks, scrolling, navigation behavior, device information, and session-level Website interactions.
Our analytics providers may process identifiers, IP addresses, browser or device information, cookie identifiers, approximate location information, and information concerning Website interactions.
Advertising and Marketing Technologies
We use or may use advertising, remarketing, retargeting, conversion measurement, audience measurement, and related marketing technologies provided by:
- Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords);
- SearchAtlas;

- deliver advertisements to relevant audiences;
- conduct remarketing or retargeting;
- build or measure advertising audiences;

Some of these providers may independently process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
Managing Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Where required by applicable law, we provide mechanisms allowing visitors to accept, reject, or manage non-essential cookies and similar technologies.
You may also be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect Website functionality.
Where legally required, Frontage will obtain appropriate consent before placing or accessing non-essential cookies, analytics technologies, advertising technologies, or similar technologies on your device.
You may be able to change your preferences at any time using the cookie or privacy preferences functionality available on the Website.
7. Global Privacy Control and Other Privacy Signals
Certain browsers and browser extensions allow users to transmit privacy preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control ("GPC").
Where applicable law requires Frontage to recognize a qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signal, we will treat the signal as a request to opt out of covered sales, sharing, or targeted advertising associated with that browser or device.
Because these signals may operate at the browser or device level, we may not be able to associate a signal with your account unless you are logged in or otherwise provide sufficient information to make that association.
8. Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients.

- professional services.
These providers may process personal information as necessary to perform services for us, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Depending on your privacy choices, applicable law, and the technologies enabled on the Website, information may be disclosed to or collected by providers such as:
- Google;
- Meta;
- Microsoft;
- SearchAtlas; and
- Simpli.fi.
These providers may receive information through cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, APIs, or other technologies.
Payment Processors
Frontage uses Stripe and/or Lemon Squeezy to process payments.
Payment information may be provided directly to Stripe and/or Lemon Squeezy to:
- complete purchases;
- process recurring subscriptions;
- process renewals;

- comply with financial and legal requirements.
Frontage generally does not receive or store your complete payment card credentials.
Professional Advisors
We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, consultants, financial institutions, and other professional advisors where reasonably necessary.
Legal and Governmental Authorities
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process;
- respond to a lawful request from a governmental authority;
- investigate fraud, security incidents, or illegal activity;
- protect our legal rights;
- protect the safety or property of Frontage, Walker Media Agency LLC, our customers, or others; or
- enforce our agreements.
Corporate Transactions
If Frontage or Walker Media Agency LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, personal information may be disclosed to prospective or actual counterparties, advisors, and other participants in the transaction.
Personal information may also be transferred as part of the applicable assets of the business.
With Your Direction or Consent
We may disclose information to another party where you direct us to do so or provide consent.
9. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
Frontage does not sell personal information for money in the conventional meaning of the term.
However, certain U.S. privacy laws define terms such as "sale," "sharing," "cross-context behavioral advertising," or "targeted advertising" more broadly.
Our use of advertising, analytics, conversion tracking, remarketing, and related technologies from providers such as Google, Meta, SearchAtlas, and Simpli.fi may constitute "sharing," targeted advertising, or another regulated disclosure under certain state privacy laws, even when Frontage does not receive money in exchange for the information.
Where applicable law provides you with the right to opt out of this activity, you may exercise that right through the privacy or cookie controls available on the Website or by contacting us at:
Where required by applicable law, Frontage will also recognize qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
We do not knowingly sell or share personal information belonging to children in circumstances prohibited by applicable law.
10. Customer Website Data and Our Role as a Service Provider
Frontage customers may use our plugin in connection with websites that independently collect or process personal information from their visitors, customers, subscribers, administrators, or other individuals.
When Frontage processes such information solely to provide Services to a customer, Frontage generally processes that information on behalf of the customer and according to the customer's instructions.
In that context:
- the customer determines what information is collected through its website;
- the customer is responsible for determining an appropriate legal basis for its collection and use;
- the customer is responsible for providing required privacy notices;
- the customer is responsible for obtaining any required consent;
- the customer is responsible for responding to individuals exercising privacy rights, except to the extent Frontage is contractually responsible for assisting; and
- Frontage processes the information only as necessary to provide the applicable Services or as otherwise permitted by law and our agreement with the customer.
If you are an individual seeking to exercise rights concerning information collected by a Frontage customer's website, you should generally contact that website operator directly.
If we receive a request relating to information we process solely on behalf of a customer, we may refer the request to that customer.
11. Data Minimization
We seek to collect and process personal information that is reasonably necessary and proportionate to the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
We encourage customers not to transmit personal information to Frontage when that information is unnecessary for the use, licensing, maintenance, or support of the Services.
In particular, customers should avoid including sensitive personal information in support tickets, diagnostic files, screenshots, logs, or other communications unless it is necessary to resolve a specific issue.
12. Sensitive Personal Information
Frontage is not designed for the collection or storage of highly sensitive personal information such as:
- Social Security or similar government identification numbers;
- medical or health information;
- biometric identifiers used for identification;
- racial or ethnic origin;
- religious or philosophical beliefs;
- sexual orientation or sex-life information; or
- similarly sensitive information unrelated to the Services.
Please do not intentionally submit this type of information through Frontage unless specifically requested and necessary for a legitimate purpose.
Account authentication information and certain financial information may qualify as sensitive personal information under some laws. We process such information only as reasonably necessary for authentication, billing, security, fraud prevention, and provision of the Services.
13. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the Services, maintaining business and financial records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and enforcing our agreements.
The applicable retention period depends on factors including:
- the nature of the information;
- the purpose for which it was collected;
- the duration of your account or subscription;
- whether information is required to provide ongoing Services;
- applicable contractual requirements;
- statutory limitation periods;
- tax, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements;
- security and fraud prevention needs; and
- whether litigation, an investigation, or a dispute requires preservation of information.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it, subject to technical limitations and legally permitted backup and archival retention.
Backups may retain information temporarily after it has been deleted from active systems until the applicable backup is overwritten or expires according to our backup retention practices.
14. Data Security
Frontage uses reasonable administrative, organizational, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, access, or misuse.
Depending on the systems involved, these safeguards may include measures such as:
- encrypted communications;
- secure payment processing through Stripe and/or Lemon Squeezy;
- access controls;
- authentication mechanisms;
- system monitoring;
- backups;
- software and infrastructure maintenance;
- restricted employee or contractor access; and
- security procedures for systems handling personal information.
No method of Internet transmission, electronic storage, or information security is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed despite our safeguards.
You are responsible for protecting your Frontage account credentials and for maintaining appropriate security on any WordPress website on which you install Frontage.
If you believe your account or information may have been compromised, please contact us promptly at:
15. International Data Transfers
Frontage and its service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries that may have data protection laws different from those in your country.
Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate mechanisms for international transfers of personal information. These may include:
- adequacy decisions;
- Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission;
- the United Kingdom International Data Transfer Addendum or other approved UK transfer mechanisms;
- contractual safeguards; or
- other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
You may contact us at [email protected] for additional information concerning safeguards applicable to relevant international transfers.
16. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you reside and applicable law, you may have certain rights concerning your personal information.
These may include the right to:
- request confirmation of whether we process your personal information;
- access personal information we maintain about you;
- request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected;
- obtain information concerning the sources, purposes, and recipients of personal information;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- restrict certain processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- opt out of certain targeted advertising;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where applicable;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable;
- object to certain automated decision-making or profiling where applicable;
- appeal certain decisions concerning a privacy request where applicable; and
- receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
These rights are subject to exceptions and limitations under applicable law.
Exercising Your Rights
You may submit a privacy request by contacting:
Please identify the type of request you are making and provide sufficient information for us to identify the records relevant to your request.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. The information required for verification will depend on the nature of the request and the sensitivity of the information involved.
We will use information submitted in connection with a privacy request only as reasonably necessary to evaluate, verify, and respond to the request.
Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may request documentation demonstrating the agent's authority and may require you to verify your identity directly.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal our response to a privacy request, instructions for submitting an appeal will be included in our response.
17. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), applies to Frontage's processing of your information, you may have rights including:
- the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell, or share;
- the right to access specific pieces of personal information;
- the right to request deletion;
- the right to correct inaccurate personal information;
- the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
- the right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable; and
- the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your CCPA rights.
The categories of personal information we may collect are described in the "Personal Information We Collect" section above.
The business purposes for which we use that information are described in "How We Use Personal Information."
Categories of parties to whom we disclose information are described in "Disclosure of Personal Information."
Because Frontage uses digital advertising and analytics technologies, certain disclosures made through cookies, pixels, or similar technologies may qualify as "sharing" under California law even though Frontage does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
Where required by California law, Frontage will provide appropriate mechanisms for opting out and will recognize qualifying opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers we know are under the age at which affirmative authorization would be required by California law.
18. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If you are located in the European Economic Area ("EEA"), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, applicable data protection laws may provide rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent.
Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may have a right to object based on circumstances particular to you.
You have an unconditional right to object to processing of personal information for direct marketing purposes.
If processing is based on your consent, withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction.
We encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so that we can attempt to address your concern.
19. Do Not Track
Some browsers provide a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") preference.
Because there is not a single universally accepted technical standard governing the interpretation of all DNT signals, our Website may not respond to every DNT signal.
This does not affect our obligation to recognize legally required privacy preference signals, including qualifying Global Privacy Control signals where applicable.
20. Automated Decision-Making
Frontage does not currently use personal information to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about individuals solely through automated processing.
If we introduce such processing in the future, we will provide any disclosures and rights required by applicable law.
21. Aggregated and De-Identified Information
We may aggregate or de-identify information so that it can no longer reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information for purposes such as:
- analytics;
- product development;
- performance measurement;
- security;
- research;
- business planning; and
- improving Frontage.
Where applicable law requires it, we will maintain de-identified information in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it except as legally permitted.
22. Third-Party Services and Links
The Website or Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, plugins, applications, APIs, advertising platforms, analytics services, or other services.
These may include services operated by companies such as:
- Stripe;
- Lemon Squeezy;
- Google;
- Meta;
- Microsoft;
- SearchAtlas; and
- Simpli.fi.
Frontage is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability, or content of third-party services that independently determine how they process information.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third parties before providing them with personal information or interacting with their services.
23. Children's Privacy
Frontage is a commercial WordPress product intended for businesses, website operators, developers, agencies, and other professional users. The Website and Services are not directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or any higher minimum age where applicable law prohibits such collection without appropriate authorization.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to Frontage, please contact:
24. Business Customers and Account Administrators
If your Frontage account is provided or managed by an employer, agency, organization, or other business customer, that organization may have administrative control over the account.
Depending on account configuration, an administrator may be able to:
- manage licenses;
- view account users;
- modify permissions;
- access account information;
- manage billing;
- associate websites with licenses; or
- otherwise administer the account.
Your organization's use of information obtained through its administration of your account is governed by that organization's own policies and practices.

You may be able to cancel a subscription or close an account through your Frontage account or by contacting us at:
Cancellation of a subscription does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of all personal information.

- maintain transaction and tax records;

Where applicable law requires notification to affected individuals, regulators, customers, or other parties, we will provide such notification in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Questions or concerns regarding security may be directed to:
27. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to:
- Frontage's products or Services;
- our data practices;
- service providers;
- advertising or analytics technologies;
- legal requirements;
- technology; or
- business operations.
When we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy.
If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate, such as through the Website, an account notification, the plugin interface, or email.
